Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy (VAHT)

What is Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy?

Since its inception in 1990 by Sarajane Williams, VAHT has reduced pain and enhanced the quality of life for hundreds of patients. VAHT is a whole body therapy, provided by certified VAHT practitioners who will treat you to the celestial sounds of live harp music while experiencing the vibrations of the instrument applied directly to the body. Whether you are suffering from work overload or are dealing with a serious medical condition, vibroacoustic harp therapy is a powerful modality that will help you relax and allow healing to take place.

What does a Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy session feel like?

The VAHT experience has been described by many as a musical massage. The sounds of the harp resonate with and entrain the body and mind also touching the heart. After being seated on a vibrotactile reclining chair through which the vibrations are delivered, the recipient is asked to focus on areas of tension/pain in the body. During that time, specific tones resonate in those areas chosen to impact the areas of concern. Each person experiences the musical tones in different ways at different times, therefore, the therapy is a very dynamic process and is tailored to the unique individual. Appropriate music is improvised or selected based upon the recipient’s needs.

Many people experience relief from anxiety, chronic pain, headaches, fibromyalgia, insomnia, depression and more following a 30-minute session.
